Heart to Heart

Yesterday I attended our diocese-wide World Youth Day celebration. The theme for this year is “Thy Word is a lamp to my feet and a Light to my path” (Psalm 119: 105).

During the catechesis, Bishop Mancini spoke of God’s Love. At one point, he said, “We can only welcome God’s Love for us, because we know we haven’t done anything to deserve it. And the way we receive His Love is as Mercy. And what does Mercy mean? It means “heart to heart”. He speaks to us in a way that we personally understand, and touches us where we need it.”
