Prayer for the Quebec election:

Heavenly Father, from whom all authority flows, bestow, we ask you,
your grace upon the people of Quebec in this time of election.
Give the candidates and those monitoring the election
the gift of integrity, to avoid all corruption and dishonesty.
Grant the voters wisdom to choose their leaders wisely,
as well as a conscientious desire to undertake their the duty to vote.
May all genuinely pursue the common good in a spirit of peace.
We ask this through Christ, your Son, our Lord. Amen.

As for myself, because of the way the electoral laws work in Canada and Quebec, as well as to avoid confusion in the hearts of others, it is important that my views be seen as my own, and not those of my Archbishop or of any charitable organization with which I happen to be associated.

For this reason, during this time of election I will be back to my old blog, Waiting in Joyful Hope, which was relatively quiet these past several weeks as Adventus.org was getting off the ground. I’ll still be back here to write the occasional piece, but if you are looking for me it is probably best to head over to the other site.
